Notes & Combos
My first time submission. Sorry for my bad English. So many blue-eyes are in rank match of this season, this deck concept is how to deactivate the gimmiks of the blue-eyes. I've once tried the same concept with more labyrinth gimmik (Arias and Arianna). That was not succeeded because the target of math cannon became higher levels in this season. So I finally give up if the coin is flipped, and kept in mind to increase the winning rate of the first attack. The card criteria for whether to include it or not is whether it has access to other cards, whether it can stop the development against a trendy gimmick with just one card, and if not, whether it can permanently take away resources through exclusion or other ways. Two things I don't like about blue eyes are the latter;
- "Beryl" can be used as a link material, while preparing ''Drillbeam".
- Adding the extra-summoning right with "Mausoleum". Punishment and Nightmare played an important role for blue-eyes. Punishment can destroy the Beryl itself, and its set-card. This means you can block the extra summoning because the link monster cannot be summoned.
- Welcome labyrinth: With some tests, the main cause of the lose at first attack is lack of monster cards. So I included the additional one.
- Punishment: I could adopt three cards, but I don't have enough slots in the extra deck. If I have the second one in my hand, they may not work with N'tss, so I adopt two.
- Nightmare: Nightmare was another answer for blue-eyes. Since it is not a regular trap, it is not a starting point for the trap recruiting gimmicks. Also, there is no contribution if having second one in my hand , I think two in deck is enough.
- Solemn strike: Almost same role with Punishment card. I would like to keep one for Ash protection.
