Notes & Combos
Snake-Eyes Tear: Idea is quite simple, use best of both worlds. Explosive power of Tears and Snake-Eyes. Because why not.
You can open either engine, and go into respective lines.
Note that diabellstar effect of special summoning during opponent's turn sends card for effect which can trigger tearlaments effects.
There are a couple of neat interactions:
- Tearlaments scream can be sent as a cost for original sinful spoils or snake-eyes-ash or oak so it is never a dead card.
- Tearlament mill can often lead to original sinful in the gy. You can use its effect to get a poplar and get to the field spell for followup. Same with wanted which can give you an extra draw.
- Sometimes instead of setting ip masq, it is better to set reinoheart and get to Rulkallos.
- The tearlaments mill often result in ash in the gy. Sunlight wolf can grab that. Then you can get into heatsoul.
- Unless you get maxx c'ed, best to go for tearlament cryme because the endboard is weak to evenly. Heatsoul draws will usually get to a monster. However, grind game is usually strong enough.
- Poplar effect activates even if it is milled from the deck. Sometimes it is useful to get extra-face up card for diabellstar.
Ideal Turn-1 is to get divine temple field spell, heatsoul. If you had a good hand, flamberge is also on the monster zone, otherwise at least flamberge on the spell/trap zone. Any tear end-board is in addition to this. If you start with snake-eyes ash, the line is nib proof too.
Why Kaiju? It is a good board breaker especially against apollousa or baronne and is an aqua allowing going into kaleido much simpler.
Few caveats: In a few cases, tear cards can be dead draws. But this rare in testing. Sometimes, tear can mill the divine temple field spell which can be a problem.
