Notes & Combos
Decided to take a break from Runick Spright to try out Yubel, and it's been a blast. Yubel is very powerful going first even through multiple handtraps. Going second is much more hand dependent, but usually it isn't impossible to win.
While the Apollousa variant is very powerful too, the Gryphon lock variant of Yubel is the scariest to go against in my opinion. If you manage to get Anti-Spell Fragrance flipped up as well, your opponent has near 0 options as to what they can do.
Deck List Highlights:
-
Gryphon lock is very powerful and most decks won't have an answer to it. If they do, you still have half a dozen disruptions you can utilize.
-
Super Producer and Beatrice is a must. They'll help you get into your Yubel cards if you only open Gates/DBB. Beatrice can also "search" Anti-Spell Fragrance which you can use Gryphon to set on your field.
-
Triple Sharvara is very useful in extending if they negate Yama or to dodge Imperm/Veiler negates on your other monsters.
-
Even at 45 cards, I have rarely lost matches because I bricked. Many hands can achieve Gryphon lock, even if you get handtrapped.
-
Everything else in the deck is fairly consistent to what other Yubel decks run.
Replays

First replay is the absolute best board you could make with this deck. I messed up my link arrows towards the end, but it all worked out anyways.
Second replay is winning while going second (playing through 4 negates + Maxx C). I struggled a lot going second with this deck at first so hopefully this replay helps others with the same issue.
