You can skip the unchained cards in exchange for a significantly worse board, the unchained cards are what protects you from boardbreakers or monsters with bigger stats than gryphon. I tried without unchained build yesterday and I actually struggled going first, so I don't like that. When ao bao arrives I'll definitely cut them

You can try. It's also your worst starter considering how rampant is droll this format, but outside of Snitch and Password the deck just snores through droll enough times that I even droll myself often when maxx cd and fuwalos, all you lost are the unchained plays. Just remember that Ki Sikil, Lil La, Snitch and Password combined are a total of only one card starters, I already experience often enough that my hand don't have engines or extenders to continue from a negated normal summons, so I don't advice trying to be cheap about it
try using phantazmay maybe for the draw power against links, its not so good against labrynth or branded but against the fiendsmith decks its a decent push to fix your hand with a starter for your turn :)
oh and i use droplets too in my deck build with phantazmay so that even if your opponent doesnt clear it during his combo you can just use it for droplets so your live twin normal summons are live to summon from deck
Card is crazy value against Deception, Nightmare Pain and the few Bozos you met in Master V playing Millennium. It's not even that bad against Branded since you can pop Albaz and Cartesia. If you refuse there are other high value handtraps like Bystials and Crow too or even Nibiru(if paired with other handtraps), but the problem with Live Twins is they don't like other monsters occupying the mmz due to their conditions as starters, but I'm other decks it's not a problem. You eventually have to craft them anw when Ryzeol and Malice comes
I learnt the combos from yacine's video back when Lacrima was legal in tcg, the only added combo I learnt outside is an under droll combo where you go into sequence instead of Yama, make Lacrima and revive Ki Sikil, your endboard will have Gryphon and Ki Sikil with a live Lil La in graveyard. Do you mean from the under droll combo where you go straight into Sequence instead of the Unchained lines? You have to make sequence from Ki Sikil and Engraver, Sequence effect summon Lacrima, Lacrima effect summons Ki Sikil, your board is currently Ki Sikil, Sequence, Lil La and Lacrima, link off Lil La and Sequence into Gryphon next to Ki Sikil, so your board now is Gryphon and a live Ki Sikil.
