Notes & Combos
Zombie Vampire was the MVP in this tournament. It's a great extender that let you get access to your snake eye engine, especially when it sends a key card from my opponent's deck to the Graveyard , allowing my Flamberge to push that card to the S/T zone. "Never summon zombie vampire with Flamberge as a material , Flamberge then will not summon 2 from the GY"
Always summon Heatsoul to draw hand traps, especially if your opponent didn't use handtraps against you.
If you finished your combo while your opponent still has five cards, they likely have board breakers like Evenly Matched or TTT. While these cards can break your board, they can't win against your hand traps.
For the build , 2 copies of Evenly Matched in the main deck isn't generally recommended. I only did so because this was a 2v2 tournament, and we knew our opponents' decklists before we play. I built my deck to counter specific decks only, so I played against the opponent whose deck was weak against Evenly Matched, while my friend - who has more balanced build - played against the opponent who was less effected by evenly (for example, if there was a HERO or Rescue-ACE player, I would play against them).
Even the side deck was built to counter specific decks. Although this strategy was successful, some of these cards might not be optimal in solo tournaments.
